SEEKING: Alberta-based Sales Executive

The Company

We are a progressive young company with a leading edge technology based service/product that is used in the new home construction industry. We provide professional print and on line home owner manuals to the developer and builder community
that is integrated with the marketing and branding strategies of the company. We have an established business with many existing clients, and a great reputation in the industry. These products address several opportunities in the Builder and New Home Owner space.

We have achieved solid sales growth in western Canada and have gained momentum in eastern Canada. The company’s goal is to materially expand market share in Canada and begin sales into the US.

The Position

If you are entrepreneurial and have an interest selling web based services or other technology services; we can offer a significant career opportunity. We would like to see a proven track record, but most of all you must be driven by sales success, and a burning desire to deliver.
Direct experience in either real estate, or construction related industries would be a major asset. You will have to communicate the value proposition to the marketing, customer service, warranty, and maintenance divisions of our developer and builder clients. Knowledge or experience in these areas would be an asset.


This direct sales position requires selling directly to all levels of builders, developers, and construction companies. It will involve research prospecting, cold calling, industry networking, on-line presentations. The product is a cloud based service that our client’s customers use so there is a technology element in the selling process. Environment ranges from building sites to board rooms.

The position will report to the Director of National Sales, and is based in Calgary or Edmonton

Job Description

  • Maintain existing relationship to a portfolio of existing customers while managing the pipelines of pending development projects
  • Requesting and scheduling meetings with decision makers to present, educate and sell the technology and service to potential clients
  • Ability to sell to all levels of an organization including owner, president level
  • Will be responsible to develop new customers in assigned territory through research prospecting, cold calling, industry networking, on-line presentations, closings sales contracts and assisting the Client Services Division
  • Increase brand/company awareness through net-working and presentations to the real estate community.
  • Achieve quarterly/yearly growth targets as set out by the company

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and negotiations experience
  • Have experience in sales from B2B sales preferably in the real-estate building industry
